Market Guidelines

Market is a place where if you’ve written, compiled, a book of poetry, photography or book chapter, story one can sell/promote their work.  The market is a place to post notice of a book /story whether or not submitted to publisher. Some of us are better writers than promoters. Chicago Record welcomes book to be reviewed. Please send by email without the fancy cover. Reviews will be posted on the site as well as wherever requested. One can also email/forward a notice if published. One need only to answer a few questions whichever of these you choose:

If book chapter: (Name of book) and number of pages of chapter:

If single story how many pages, price and summary of story:

Description of compiled book (Genre):

Where it can be purchased if other than publisher website:

Number of pages:

Tell of anything out of the ordinary that happened or ritual when you write/wrote while compiling the work:

Personal website address:

ISBN# if applicable:

How is the book bound?

Is shipping and handling, taxes included in price? (if work has no publisher):

Has project won a prize? (Website of publisher where book can be purchased):
If there is notice of publication one can simply forward the notice and link for purchase of the project.

If there is anything here that should be added please do not hesitate to mention it. Sometimes it is better to hear from the artist about the project for their time is precious.
While we are all trying to have some commercial success it is necessary to create an audience and to network. Market is the place to do it.
